Okay okay okay there were lots of things I loved about A Glitch In Time but two things really stand out:
First, I thought it really did justice to Vlad and Phantom’s story arcs that pretty much were abandoned by the end of the series. I enjoyed that a lot.
Second, and I really appreciate this, the book felt like the TV show. It was of course its own story and its own medium, but it kept up with the comedic narrative/style/vibe of the cartoon without feeling weird or out of place. So HUGE kudos to Gabriela for that.
Anyway I’m going to go yell about the book to my cat now.
Can’t believe it’s 2023 and I’m freaking out over a graphic novel tie-in to a cartoon that ended 16 years ago
what i think one of the important messages from the graphic novel is that we as a phandom have collectively forgotten that sam is also a giant fucking jock. the goth-jock erasure is rampant. let us learn from the dodgeball scene, and let us be humbled
